The Silent Auction takes place throughout the early part of the evening before dinner.Tables are color coded (indicating the different closing times) and set up at in the gym with silentauction items. The starting and stopping time of the auction is announced over the sound system with a 5 minute warning.

Our catalog will have the donated items and their descriptions to help guide you. It is fun to see th ewide assortment of items, many you use throughout the year.

Live Auction
The exciting part of the evening comes with our auctioneer offering items posted in our catalog and in the addendum, which is provided upon your arrival at the event. Our auctioneer makes this easy so don’t worry if you’ve never done this before. Listen carefully for your highlighted items. The auctioneer guides guests through the catalog and calls the item number and starts the bidding. Simply raise your hand with your paddle bidder number when you are ready to enter your bid. This is the part of the evening where the unique and special classroom projects are auctioned off in a friendly process. Cheering and excitement fill the room as bidders vie for these really wonderful items.

Fund-An-Item
So maybe you are the “less is more” kind of person, not into material goods? We respect that way of thinking and want to encourage you to give to the FUND-AN-ITEM. This item will be announced and presented in the catalog and is a great way to show generosity and direct support for the school or a special school project that is 100% tax deductible.

This year Principal Larson is asking for help to fund updated technology for our classrooms. We need some new tools, especially projectors and laptop computers. Our teachers and students will use these tools for presentations, group learning, and exploration via the web.

Our goal is to have projectors and connected laptop computers in every classroom by 2015.

We hope to raise $6,000 over the next three years to phase in the new systems.  Our plan begins with C-wing classrooms in 2012–2013.
